The Monday May 4, 2026 AAA Board meeting will be a Hybrid meeting.

A. Call To Order  
Chair FARSETTA called the meeting to order at 3:53pm.

B. Consideration of Minutes  
Minutes from April 6, 2026  
A motion was made by WEGLEITNER that the minutes be approved. The motion  
carried by a voice vote.  
C. Action Items  
a. Recommendation from the AAA Advisory Council selection group of 12 community  
members to be approved for Advisory Council membership.  
A motion was made by WEGLEITNER to postpone a vote due to lack of  
information provided on agenda of nominee’s names. Discussion of what  
information Supervisor Downing wants on the agenda to include everyone who  
was interviewed. Details of who is being recommended to be included on the  
agenda as an attachment. This is due back on 5/13/2026 to the Area Agency on  
Aging Board. The motion carried unanimously.  
b. Recommendation from AAA Grants Scoring Committee for the Paul Kusuda, Leck  
and Mally funds.  
A motion was made by WEGLEITNER to postpone a decision due to lack of  
information provided on agenda of recommendations of grant recipients. Details  
of who is being recommended to be included on the agenda as an attachment.  
Due back to the Area Agency on Aging Board on 5/13/2026. The motion carried  
unanimously.  
D. Presentations

E. Reports to Board  
1. State and Federal Report (Langer)  
Laura Langer, BADR WI Representative, shared that the state has  
received the Older Americans Act (OAA) funding for the remainder  
of the year. All three AAA’s need to get their portions signed off on  
to receive funding. May is OAA month. Governor and County  
Executive have sent out proclamations for the month. May is also  
Aging & Disability month. Celebrate with partners who work with us.  
2. Board Member Reports  
Chair FARSETTA summarized the only minutes available from AAA  
Legislative/Advocacy meeting. None of the other committees met since  
last AAA Board meeting.

Next Meeting: Wednesday June 24, 2026 at 9am via Hybrid  
b. AAA Nutrition/Wellness Committee  
Last meeting was February 4, 2026 and discussed at April 6 Board meeting.  
Next Meeting: Wednesday May 6, 2026 at 11:30am via Hybrid.  
c. Dane County Health & Human Needs Committee  
Have not met since last AAA Board meeting.  
Next Meeting: Thursday May 7, 2026 at 5:15 pm via Hybrid.  
d. Dane County Specialized Transportation Commission  
Have not met since last AAA Board meeting.  
Next Meeting is not scheduled at this time.  
3. Board Membership Status  
a. Three vacancies.  
Lynn Riley, AAA Manager, advised one person who  
applied for the Advisory Council will be recommended  
to apply for a seat on the AAA Board.  
WEGLIETNER advised several new county  
supervisors will be joining the HHN Committee so  
looking forward to new faces to keep division moving  
forward.  
4. Chair & Staff Reports  
a. Elections next month  
Chair Farsetta stated this will be an action item on the June 1, 2026  
AAA Board meeting.
