The October 5, 2023 Executive Committee BUDGET meeting will be a hybrid meeting. Members of the  
public can either attend in person or virtually via Zoom.  
The public can attend in person at City-County Building, Room 354.  
The public can access the meeting virtually with the Zoom application or by telephone.

The meeting was called to order at 5:04 p.m. Also present: Wesley Sparkman, Scott  
McDonell, Jeff Kostelic, Kathy Kuntz, Lisa MacKinnon.  
There were no online public registrations. There was one in-person registration to speak  
on items not o the agenda. See comments under that agenda item.

There was one budget amendment in the file, but the Chair indicated the committee  
would defer action on that budget amendment (Exec-O-01) until the October 19th budget  
meeting of the committee at 5:00 p.m. where any other Executive Committee budget  
amendments will be acted on by the committee.  
Chair Miles gave a brief update on anticipated amendments that will come before the  
committee on the 19th, including one creating a community engagement program.

I. Future Meeting Items and Dates  
The Chair reiterated the two upcoming meeting dates (October 12 and October 19 budget  
meeting # 2).  
Staff indicated that a final version of the Keen presentation for October 12th would be  
added to the agenda the week of the meeting for committee members to review in  
advance.  
Staff also indicated that any supervisors wishing to make a budget amendment for action  
by this committee should submit their request ASAP to staff in order to get the  
amendment crafted by the Controller's office in time to be loaded to the agenda for  
October 19. All budget amendments must be final and ready for the Controller to load to  
the agenda by 10 a.m. the day prior to the meeting at which they will be considered.

Sean Burke, City of Madison resident, representing himself, spoke to the committee  
about a housing contract grievance.

adjourned. The motion carried by a voice vote. The meeting adjourned at 5:48
