The Wednesday May 6, 2026 AAA Nutrition/Wellness Committee meeting will be a Hybrid meeting.

The public can attend in person at the ADRC building, 2865 N Sherman Ave Room 109, Madison.

a. No Future Sites Opening to Replace Vacant West side & Esquire sites.

b. Last year, AAA Dane County partnered with Safe Communities to coordinate 13

Stepping On Falls Prevention Workshops for 113 attendees. This video showcases Safe

Communities, including Stepping On, the Falls Free Coalition and more of the amazing work

2. Federal Government Cuts to ACL's Falls Prevention Program

a. The Trump Administration does not want to use funding from the Prevention and

Public Health Fund in the Affordable Care Act, which provides mandatory funding to HHS

agencies for prevention programs, but is divvied up by Congress during the annual

appropriations process. Again, this ask reflects the President’s last budget and was ignored

by Congress in FY 2026.

3. 2026 State Nutrition Survey

a. State is preparing the questionnaire to go out to Congregate, Carry-Out and HDM

clients. Focal Points are required to return to Dane County at least 20% of the total clients

for each program.
