The January 18, 2024, Executive Committee meeting will be a hybrid meeting. Members of the public can  
either attend in person or virtually via Zoom.  
The public can attend in person at City-County Bldg, 210 MLK, Jr. Blvd., room 354.

Supervisor Rick Rose and County Board Policy Analyst Lauren Kuhl presented on the  
updated Engage Dane Initiative of the Dane County Board.

2. PRESENTATION ON THE UPDATED EQUITY & INCLUSION PLAN -- DANE  
COUNTY BOARD OFFICE  
County Board staff member Lisa MacKinnon presented on the updated plan and  
responded to committee members' questions. Supervisor Smith raised the issue of  
compliance with Title 2 ADA internet accessibility requirements going into effect soon.  
Wes Sparkman addressed her question and indicated his office would speak with the  
DOA and Corporation Counsel on the issue.

1. QUARTERLY REPORT BY THE TAMARA D. GRIGSBY OFFICE FOR EQUITY AND  
INCLUSION  
Wesley Sparkman and Theola Carter from the Tamara D. Grigsby Office for Equity and  
Inclusion gave updates on the work of their office. Discussion ensued regarding future  
trainings or policy briefings on an equity framework for County Board members.  
Committee members indicated a desire to have Dr. Clark Pujara return for more Black  
History workshops. Sup. Schauer suggested approaching equity framework discussions  
from a policymaker perspective.Why is an equity framework important to policy makers,  
etc. Provide facts. Suggestion to start with a discussion of the equity questions on  
County Board and committee agendas.
