Chair Thoresen called the Park Commission meeting to order at 5:30 PM.

B. Consideration of Minutes  
Minutes of the December 11, 2024 Park Commission  
A motion was made by BROUWER that the Minutes be approved. The motion  
carried by a voice vote 6-0.  
Chair Thoresen requested to move the Presentation up on the agenda. There was  
unanimous consent by Park Commission members.  
D. Presentations  
1. Conservation Fund Grant Application from The Prairie Enthusiasts for the Uren Trust  
parcel in the Town of Blue Mounds - Erbe Grasslands  
Rich Henderson, The Prairie Enthusiasts' Empire-Sauk Chapter Board Representative,  
gave an overview of The Prairie Enthusiasts' property management in the Erbe Road  
Grasslands area in south western Dane County. The Prairie Enthusiasts are working to  
acquire an 77 acre property in the Town of Blue Mounds for the project. If acquired, the  
property will be actively managed for wildlife habitat and public access. The Prairie  
Enthusiasts is requesting a Dane County Conservation Fund Grant for 50% of the  
acquisition costs, approximately $395,000.
