Appeal of denial on reallocation of Social Service Specialists.

Sharron Hubbard-Moyer and Krista Smedema presented for the Social Service
Specialists.
In a 2-0 vote, the members recommended their support to uphold the denial due
to the inequity issue it would cause between the Social Service Specialists and
the Lead Social Service Specialist.
A motion was made by OLSON, seconded by WICK, that the meeting go into
closed session.
The committee may go into a closed session for purposes of deliberations concerning a case(s) which
is/are he subject of any judicial or quasi-judicial trial or hearing before the governmental body. The
authority for a closed session for such purposes is 19.85(1)(a), Stats. During the closed session, the
committee may also conduct discussions relative to considering employment, promotion, compensation
performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction
or exercises responsibility. The authority for a closed session for such purposes is 19.85(1)(c), Stats.
A motion was made by WICK, seconded by OLSON, that the committee exit out
of closed session.
D. Public Comment on Items not on the Agenda
Matthew Moberg read Martha Stacker's letter of support for the reallocation. He also
stated his personal support for the reallocation.
Kabura Mukasa asked if other county's were assessed and also inquired if the Social
Service Specialists were compensated for their overtime.
Alex Hauri clarified the differences between reallocation and reclassification.
Abigail Hannula commented that if the Lead Social Service Specialist wanted to be
moved the paperwork should have been submitted along with this request.
