C. Action Items
1. Recommendation to approve Natalie Raemisch to the AAA Legislative/Advocacy
Committee
Natalie has over 20 years of working with older adults. She has been working with them
since she was a teenager! She has been a caregiver for grandparents and has been
passionate about helping them speak up and get their needs met. She has been at the
Cornerstone Community Center since 2011 as a social worker and now executive
director. She lives with her husband and 2 young children in Sun Prairie. In her free
time she enjoys kayaking, puzzling and snowmobiling.
2. Recommendation to approve Kristy Schuster to the AAA Nutrition and Wellness
Committee
Kristy Schuster, age 49. I have been a resident of Sun Prairie for the last 20 years. I
have a Masters of Health Administration from the University of South Carolina and
worked for 10 years as a licensed Nursing Home Administrator in Pennsylvania and in
Dodge County, Wisconsin. After having my third child, I took time off professionally but
volunteered as an Evening Meals on Wheels volunteer for 4-5 years in Dane County as
well as became (and remain) a volunteer Guardian through NewBridge for a senior in
the community without family able to help him.
I became the Service Coordinator at The Colonial View apartment in Sun Prairie last
September. The View is a HUD subsidized low-income housing complex for
independent seniors age 62+ and those with physical mobility disabilities. My job is to
ensure that the tenants receive the services and benefits they need to successfully live
here for as long as it is safe for them to do so.
I look forward to the opportunity to be a contributing member of the Nutrition and
Wellness Committee.
