The March 3, 2022 Executive Committee meeting is being held remotely. The public can access the

The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. Also present: Supervisors Palm, Kiefer, and

A motion was made by CHAWLA, seconded by DeGARMO, that the minutes be  
approved. The motion carried by a voice vote.

County Clerk Scott McDonell spoke in support of the resolution. Given the increased  
security threats to the election process it makes sense to convene a team to review  
practices and evaluate future threats to election security  
A motion was made by CHAWLA, seconded by ERICKSON, that the Resolution be  
recommended for approval. The motion carried by a voice vote.  
E. Items Requiring Committee Action  
DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON BIENNIAL UPDATE OF CHAPTER 7  
COUNTY BOARD RULES  
Public Comment:  
- Erik Andersen, Primrose, spoke in support of amending the rules to remove time limits  
for public testimony.  
See registration report attached with these minutes.  
Committee members discussed the draft with proposed amendments to Chapter 7 of the  
Dane County Ordinances.  
Supervisors Palm, Kiefer, and Wegleitner all spoke to address their proposed Ch 7  
amendments. Kiefer spoke in opposition to a proposal to remove prayer and pledge.  
Staff was directed to confer with Corporation Counsel on certain items, and to bring back  
an updated draft for consideration at the March 17th meeting for Executive Committee  
action on the proposed amendments.  
The committee took no action.
