A motion was made by WEIGAND, seconded by PETERSON, that the Resolution  
be amended by Public Protection and Judiciary Operating Amendment 01.  
"Increase expenditures in the Sheriff's Office Field Division by $254,800 to create  
a 1.0 FTE Detective (Deputy IV) and 1.0 FTE (P9) Crime Analyst positions to  
investigate incidents of human trafficking in Dane County. The cost of these  
positions are partially offset by the elimination of a 1.0 FTE Mechanical Repair  
Worker, a 1.0 FTE Clerk position at the Zoo. The motion failed by the following

be amended by Board Operating Amendment 03. "Increase expenditures by  
$231,721 to restore 2 Deputy I-II positions 637, 575. The cost of this amendment is  
offset by delaying the start date for the following positions to pay period 9: the  
Case Manager and Clerk in Deferred Prosecution, the Assistand Corp. Counsel,  
the Housing Services Manager, the Spanish Medical Interpreter, the Program  
Leader, the AEC Mechanic and the Housing Planner." The motion failed by the

"Increase expenditures by $50,000 to fund overtime for Sheriff’s office personnel  
to organize efforts and initiatives aimed at arresting individuals with outstanding  
felony warrants, prioritizing the most dangerous offenders." The motion failed by  
a voice vote.  
A motion was made by WEIGAND, seconded by POSTLER, that the Resolution be  
amended by Health and Human Needs Operating Amendment 01. "Add the  
following language to 2024 RES-144: "All contractors for which the county  
contracts for more than $50,000 of Human Services Client Services must disclose  
the salary and benefits of their three highest paid staff positions." The motion  
failed by a voice vote.  
A motion was made by WEIGAND, seconded by JACKSON, that the Resolution be  
amended by Board Operating Amendment 02. "Remove the contract  
authorization in Appendix A of the 2024 RES-144 for Urban Triage, Inc. for PEI in  
the amount of $467,687 and HAA in the amount of $455,679. These service  
contracts should be subject to a new RFP." The motion failed by the following  
vote:

2025 DANE COUNTY CAPITAL BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS RESOLUTION

A motion was made by WEIGAND, seconded by BOETCHER, that the Resolution  
be amended by Board Capital Amendment 01. "Move to add the following  
language to 2024 RES-145: 'The Capital Budget includes $2 million to support the  
new development being pursued by Sunshine Place. This $2 million will be  
withheld until the Sunshine Place confirms to Dane County that they have raised  
or have the financial guarantees from other donations/investors totaling $6  
million. Further, Sunshine Place is required to refund Dane County the $2 million  
dollars if their future expansion is not built.'" The motion failed by a voice vote.  
A motion was made that the Resolution be adopted Sub. 1. The motion carried  
by a voice vote. WEIGAND voted no.
