B. Consideration of Minutes

COMMISSION MEETING]

A motion was made by Garrett to approve the minutes from the 5/19/2026 Arts  
and Cultural Affairs Commission meeting.  
Downing abstained from voting.  
The motion was carried by a majority voice vote.  
C. Ethics Training  
The Ethics Training Video for County Committees, Commission, and Boards  
(2026) was presented.

D. June Commission Elections  
1. Chair  
A motion was made by Klehr to nominate Fran Puleo Moyer for Chair of the Arts  
and Cultural Affairs Commission.  
The motion was seconded by Fath.  
There were no additional nominations for Chair.  
The motion was carried unanimously by a voice vote.  
2. Vice Chair  
A motion was made by Yudice to nominate Deshawn McKinney for Vice Chair of  
the Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission.  
The motion was seconded by Klehr.  
There were no additional nominations for Vice Chair.  
The motion was carried unanimously by a voice vote.  
E. Executive Director's Report  
Chair Puleo Moyer provided a discussion of Director Fraire’s notes.  
Commissioners are encouraged to share recommendations for potential  
commissioners via the Google Doc created by Chair Puleo Moyer.  
F. Future Meeting Items and Dates  
1. Events Calendar (Mary)  
Commissioner Klehr shared upcoming events supported by Dane Arts grants.  
2. Next Meeting Date  
The Commission will not meet in July.  
The Next Commission meeting will take place on Tuesday, August 18th.  
August agenda items include updates on the Friends of Dane Arts, updates to  
the grant process, and 50th Anniversary planning.  
G. Public Comment on Items not on the Agenda  
None.  
H. Such Other Business as Allowed by Law  
Incoming Supervisor Downing introduced himself to the commission.  
Commissioner Snow shared her experience of attending a Dane Arts supported  
event.  
Chair Puleo Moyer shared a statement on the importance of civil dialogue in  
commission meetings.
