- Regional Agriculture & Food Sovereignty; Community Gardens – Nicholas Leete via

RAFS – After a few months off, we’ve settled on a regular meeting time of first  
Wednesdays of the month at 3 PM. Projects we’re hoping to work on are leases on  
city-owned land, potential community garden and other growing space expansion, high  
tunnel permitting, and putting together recommendations for the parks and open space  
plan and other area planning processes.  
- Food Access; Double Dollars Program – Guffey Calkins  
Double Dollars will be available at participating Dane County farmers markets from run  
June 1 – Oct 31.  
- Public Health Madison & Dane County; City of Madison Business Development – Nick  
Heckman via Guffey Calkins

Discussed information gathered about park land agriculture usage. Will meet again in

- Food Access and Equity (PIE) - JANISCH  
Had a meeting to debrief the PIE grant process, and talk through ways to improve the  
application and process.  
Dane County received 34 applications for the 2025 Partners in Equity (PIE) Food Project  
was over $126,000. The total funding to be granted is $40,000.  
- Community Engagement - WARNER  
We plan to mobilize people for Food Action Plan engagement sessions. We plan to  
compile points of contact for Dane County municipalities.

- PIE grant applicant follow-up  
A discussion was held about following up with PIE grant applicants who said they’d like  
help getting connected to partners and resources.

FAERBER – Farm Fresh Atlas 2025 is printed and will be distributed. Distributing at an  
NFL draft event in Green Bay. Mid-May: Atlas Launch party.

Next meeting is 5/21/25. Starting at *5:30pm* (then back to 6pm start in June).
