The March 4, 2026 Youth Commission meeting will be conducted in hybrid fashion. Members of the public

can either attend in person or virtually via Zoom.

The public can attend in person in Room 354 of the City County Building.

The public can access the meeting virtually with the Zoom application or by telephone.

A motion was made by PETERSON, seconded by SNYDER-HEITMAN, that the

Minutes be approved. The motion carried by a voice vote 9-0.

1. Dissemination of Dane County Youth Assessment via Webinars on Topics of Interest

to Youth Commission, Partnership with Summits, Conferences and/or Events,

Discussion Groups & Town Hall-Style Meetings

a. Plan & Schedule Webniar -- Access to Guns & Mental Health

The Commission discussed how to share Dane County Youth Assessment (DCYA)

findings with the community and leaned toward hosting a public panel/webinar-style

event that centers youth voice and uses the DCYA data as the anchor - with Mental

Health as the first focus topic (while acknowledging gun access/violence prevention

remains important). Members emphasized making dissemination coordinated,

manageable, and reusable (e.g., recording content and repurposing clips for broader

outreach).

2. Revisit Google Document with Connects to Violence Prevention Organizations

3. Reminder: By Youth For Youth Funding Presentations Scheduled for Monday,

March 16, 2026 from 6-7:30 p.m.

A motion was made by BENEDICT, seconded by BENSON, that the Meeting be

adjourned. The motion carried by a voice vote 9-0 and the meeting adjourned at
