Watch for a possible public hearing on AB923 and SB856 - Specialized Transportation

G. Manager's Report
1. SAMS Update
Fischer reviewed the statistics.
ADRC STATISTICS
2. ILSP Update
Fischer reported 442 individuals' paperwork has been sent to the state. There are more
than 800 people on the interest list. This program is set to stop enrolling people at the
end of March. The ADRC received additional funding from the state and hired two
full-time LTE's to help with the enrollment.
There are still some issues setting up vendors with fiscal agents as it is taking longer
than customers would like. The fiscal agent does have a backlog of work. The ADRC
has received some complaints about this.
3. ADRC Operations Update
Fischer reported that DCS launched a caregiver GPS program, partnering with Rock
County to offer caregiver support programs online.
Fischer announced the ADRC is expanding some of the support group offerings that they
picked up from the Alzheimers and Dementia Alliance when they closed.
DBS continue to feel overwhelmed with their workload. Fischer said Jamie Her is going
to start doing some prework before cases are assigned to the DBS. They are also
starting a priority list. There is still the struggle with the long wait with Social Security.
