from February 5th, 2024 be approved. The motion carried by a voice vote 10-0

John Reimer presented monitoring guidance for non-community well monitoring at Dane  
County Parks.

1 Yahara Lakes Management Report (joint item)  
Yahara Lakes Management Report  
John Reimer reported on water level management of the Yahara Lakes.  
2 Gathering public input on Dane County Ch. 71 - Regulation of Icebound Inland Waters (joint item)  
Kyle Minks reported that the Land & Water Resources Department will take the lead on  
sharing information and collecting public input on Chapter 71: Regulation of Icebound  
Inland Waters, Dane County Code of Ordinances. A website will be developed and public  
comment collected beginning in June. A public information session, which will include an  
opportunity for public comment, will be scheduled for the summer. The Lakes &  
Watershed Commission and the Public Protection & Judiciary Committee may consider  
amendments to the ordinance in response to public comment and public safety officials.  
H. Future Meeting Items and Dates  
1 Next LWC meeting is tentatively scheduled for May 7th @ 5:30 pm. Agenda Items: Presentation from  
UW on Water Recreation Study.

A motion was made by Levin, seconded by Engelberger, that the meeting be  
adjourned. The motion carried unanimously.
