The December 19, 2024, Executive Committee meeting will be a hybrid meeting. Members of the public  
can either attend in person or virtually via Zoom.  
The public can attend in person at City-County Building, room 354, 210 Martin Luther King, Jr., Blvd.,  
Madison, WI.  
The public can access the meeting virtually with the Zoom application or by telephone.

IN PERSON: Any members of the public wishing to register to speak on/support/oppose an agenda item  
can register in person at the meeting using paper registration forms. IT IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED TO  
REGISTER VIA THE ZOOM LINK ABOVE EVEN IF YOU PLAN ON ATTENDING IN PERSON.  
In person registrations to provide public comment will be accepted throughout the meeting.

The meeting was called to order at 5:40 PM.

A motion was made by ENGELBERGER that the ordinance amendment be  
recommended for approval. The motion carried by a voice vote.  
ESTABLISHING AN INDEPENDENT FORENSIC AUDIT OF DANE COUNTY  
FUNDS GIVEN TO URBAN TRIAGE OVER THE LAST THREE YEARS  
WEIGAND and BOLLIG

Supervisor Weigand, the sponsor of the resolution, spoke in support of 2024 Res 183.  
Nino Amato, member of the public, spoke in support of the resolution (see registration  
report attached to minutes).  
Discussion ensued among committee members. Committee members asked various  
questions of Corporation Counsel and Interim DHS Director Iheukumere.  
A motion was made by ENGELBERGER that the resolution be recommended for  
denial. The motion carried by a voice vote.  
RECLASSIFYING THE COUNTY BOARD CHIEF OF STAFF AND AN  
ASSISTANT TO THE COUNTY EXECUTIVE  
MILES, ROSE and ENGELBERGER

Chair Miles spoke in support of the resolution saying it creates parity between the Chief  
of Staff positions in the County Board Office and the County Executive's Office.  
A motion was made by ENGELBERGER that the Resolution Requiring 2/3rds Vote  
be recommended for approval. The motion carried by a voice vote.

NEEDS ANALYSIS AND ASSESSMENT OF OPPORTUNITIES AND BEST PRACTICES  
FOR WINTER COMMUNAL GARDENING PROGRAMMING AND SPACES IN DANE  
COUNTY  
UW-Madison UniverCity Alliance student intern, Surya Sethi, presented her findings and  
proposed next steps for Phase 2 of the project, and took questions. See attached  
presentation.

H. Future Meeting Items and Dates  
The next meeting scheduled for Executive Committee is on January 16, 2025, at 5:30  
p.m. in CCB room 354.  
Chair Miles reminded committee members to submit any input they have on  
improvements to the County Board budget process for 2026 by this Dec 23rd via the  
survey link he sent to them. This issue will be on the Jan 16, 2025 agenda for Exec  
Comm discussion.
