Vice Chair Brouwer called the Park Commission meeting to order at 5:30 PM.  
Youth Governance Program Member Aleena Sanghvan absent.

E. Presentations  
1. Conservation Fund Grant Application from the Village of Belleville for a trailhead  
purchase, Sugar River NRA  
Andrew Eveland, Assistant Village Administrator of Belleville, presented the Carolina  
Street Park project. The Village plans to acquire two residential lots to develop a  
neighborhood park and trailhead, providing public access to 135 acres of natural  
conservancy land along the Sugar River. The project aims to connect Belleville through a  
network of trails and natural corridors, promoting environmental education, recreation,  
and community engagement. The Village is requesting a Dane County Conservation Fund  
Grant to cover 25% of the acquisition costs, approximately $55,000.

A motion was made by MORAN, seconded by GOFORTH, that the Minutes be  
approved. The motion carried by a voice vote 4-0.

AUTHORIZING DONATION OF FUNDS FOR MORTON FOREST

New Natural Resource Manager Andy Paulios introduced himself and provided an  
overview of his role.  
Commissioner Grace Moran announced that she has an accepted offer on a house in  
Sauk County and, if the sale is finalized, she will no longer be eligible to serve on the  
Parks Commission.

is Wis.Stat.19.85(1)(e).
