The Youth Commission meeting Tuesday, October 22, 2024 will be conducted in hybrid fashion. Members  
of the public can either attend in person or virtually via Zoom.  
The public can attend in person in Room 354 of the City County Building.  
The public can access the meeting virtually with the Zoom application or by telephone.

PROCESS TO PROVIDE PUBLIC COMMENT:  
IN PERSON: Any members of the public wishing to register to speak on/support/oppose an agenda item  
can register in person at the meeting using paper registration forms. IT IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED TO  
REGISTER VIA THE ZOOM LINK ABOVE EVEN IF YOU PLAN ON ATTENDING IN PERSON.  
In person registrations to provide public comment will be accepted throughout the meeting.  
VIRTUAL: Any members of the public wishing to register to speak on/support/oppose an agenda item  
MUST REGISTER USING THE LINK ABOVE (even if you plan to attend using your phone). Virtual  
registrations to provide public comment will be accepted until 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the

B. Consideration of Minutes  
MINUTES FROM SEPTEMBER 18, 2024  
A motion was made by BENEDICT, seconded by BENSON, that the Minutes be  
approved. The motion carried by a voice vote 6-0.  
C. Action Items  
1. Discussion and Vote to Approve Letter to the Editor on Referendums on the  
November Ballot  
A letter was drafted by the Commission to educate voters on the school referendums,  
especially those in Dane County, that will be on the ballot this November. Staff to the  
Commission (Megan Meinen) will make minor copy edits and then submit to the  
Wisconsin State Journal.  
A motion was made by BENSON, seconded by MASCIOPINTO, to approve the  
Dane County Youth Commission letter to the editor after minor edits  
discussed during this meeting. The motion carried by a voice vote 6-0.

Next meeting: Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at the City County Building and via  
Zoom.

A motion was made by FRIES, seconded by BENSON, that the Meeting be  
adjourned. The motion carried by a voice vote 6-0 and the meeting adjourned at  
5:31 p.m.
