A motion was made by PETERSON that the Minutes be approved. The motion  
carried by a voice vote. 5-0  
C. Budget Discussion & Amendments  
PUBLIC PROTECTION & JUDICIARY COMMITTEE AMENDMENTS TO THE  
PROPOSED 2025 OPERATING BUDGET  
PP&J-O-01  
Members of the public that registered to speak in support of PP&J-O-01 were: Dave  
Mahoney, Kenton Sorenson, and Douglas Alexander.  
Members of the public that registered in support of PP&J-O-01 were: Deena Cortright,  
Brian Doty, Vicky Franchino, Amy Ehlert and Brian Tuescher  
Weigand moved recommendation of PP&J-O-01 for approval.

Weigand moved to amend PP&J-O-1 by eliminating the phrase “and a .5 FTE Juvenile  
Court Worker” in the Motion. Motion passed 5-0; YGP: 2-0

Rose moved to amend PP&J-O-07 by removing position numbers 2559, 3006 and 2399  
from the list of positions to be eliminated. Motion passed. Roll Call Vote 3-2 (Peterson,  
Weigand).  
Rose motion to recommend approval of PP&J-O-07, as amended. Motion passed. Roll  
Call: 3-2 (Peterson, Weigand)  
PP&J-O-08  
Weigand withdraws PP&J –O-08 by unanimous consent.  
PP&J-O-09  
Andrae moved recommendation of approval for PP&J-O-9. Motion passed 5-0  
PP&J-O-10  
Foley presented.

Discussion ensued about which amendments should be prioritized for the Committee.
