Linda Ketcham called the meeting to order at 5:35 with a quorum present.

10-16-23 CCHIC MINUTES  
A motion was made by Michele Doolan and seconded by Nasra Wehelie to  
approve the minutes of 10-16-2023. Motion passed by voice vote.

E. Presentations  
1. Updates on Community Plan to Prevent and End Homelessness - HomeBase  
COMMUNITY PLAN UPDATE - HOMEBASE  
Kenya Rawls and Mihir Vohra from HomeBase presented an update on the strategic  
community plan to prevent and end homelessness including the project launch, data  
collection, analysis and community engagement activities. Main themes discussed were:  
racial equity, housing, home/homelessness resources, regional issues in Madison/Dane  
County. Members asked questions of the presenter and items were discussed.  
2. Car Camping Report - Melissa Mennig, Dane County  
CAR CAMPING PRESENTATION  
Melissa Mennig presented information presented an update on the car camping report  
completed by HAA staff. Members asked questions of the presenter and items were  
discussed.  
F. Action Items  
1. 2024 City-County Homeless Issues Committee Work plan  
2023 YEAR IN REVIEW / 2024 WORK PLAN DRAFT  
Sarah Lim reviewed the topics that were presented at CCHIC in 2023 and presented a  
draft version of the 2024 CCHIC work plan. Members asked questions and provided  
suggested topics to the presenter.  
G. Reports to Committee  
1. Men’s shelter development updates  
Sarah Lim presented an update about the men’s shelter. Project is expected to go out  
for bid early next year.  
2. City and County staff updates  
DECEMBER 2023 HAA UPDATES FOR CCHIC  
City and County staff presented updates. Members asked questions and items were  
discussed.  
3. City of Madison Statement of Interest completion reminder  
Linda Ketcham reminded members to complete their statement of interest forms.
