A motion was made that the Zoo Commission be called to order at 8:05m. The  
motion carried unanimously.

B. Consideration of Minutes

A motion was made by JUSTUS, seconded by BANKS, that the Minutes be  
approved as amended. The motion carried by a voice vote.

E. Reports to Committee  
Zoo Director Ronda Schwetz reported to the Commission on vacant staff positions and  
next steps including the veterinary technician position and clerk I-II position being  
reclassed to a clerk II. Animal updates included acquisitions of some reptiles and an  
update on the meerkat mob which is doing well. Events that had passed included Run  
Wild in September which had around 1000 registrants and ran smoothly. Upcoming  
events include Light the Night for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Zoo Lights for  
the holiday season starting the day after Thanksgiving and Brew Lights on November 22.  
Kristin Moala is currently on the Polar Bears International trip in Churchill, Canada as part  
of the AZA Marketing partnership with PBI. The Education department acquired a new  
hybrid van for their programs.

Next meeting will take place in person at Henry Vilas Zoo on Wednesday, November  
20th.
