2a. Election of Board Chair - 2 years  
MILES steps down as Chair for the election of Chair. ERICKSON becomes  
temporary Chair with no objection.  
SMITH nominates MILES for County Board Chair. No other nominations were  
made and nominations were closed without objection. A unanimous ballot was  
then cast for MILES.  
2b. Election of First Vice-Chair - 2 years  
KEMP nominates CHAWLA for First Vice-Chair. No other nominations are made  
and nominations were closed without objection. Moved by VELDRAN, second by  
KEMP to cast a unanimous ballot for CHAWLA. The motion passed on a voice  
vote.  
2c. Election of Second Vice-Chair - 2 years  
BROWER nominates ANDRAE for Second Vice-Chair. No other nominations are  
made and nominations were closed without objection. Moved by SMITH second  
by TRUCIOS to cast a unanimous ballot for CHAWLA. The motion passed on a  
voice vote.  
2d. Election of Sergeant-At-Arms - 2 years  
WELSH nominates FRIES for Sergeant-At-Arms. OBIEZE nominates LEWIS for  
Sergeant-At-Arms. No other nominations are made and nominations were closed  
without objection. Moved by BAROUSHOK, second by ENGELBERGER to cast a  
unanimous ballot for both candidates. The motion passed on a voice vote.  
AMENDING CHAPTER 7 OF THE DANE COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES  
REVISING THE COUNTY BOARD RULES

be amended to read at line 82 amend as followed after Pledge of Allegiance "(if  
invited by the Supervisor delivering the inspirational message)  
and at line 100 amend the same after Pledge of Allegiance. . The motion failed

A motion was made by VELDRAN, seconded by PETERSON, that the Wisconsin  
State Journal be designated at the official newspaper for the 2026-2028 Board  
Years. The motion carried unanimously.  
C. SUCH OTHER BUSINESS AS THE COUNTY BOARD IS AUTHORIZED TO  
CONDUCT BY LAW
