HEALTH & HUMAN NEEDS COMMITTEE AMENDMENTS TO THE
PROPOSED 2022 OPERATING BUDGET
• HHN-O-01: Expenditures be increased by $15,000 in the Department of Human
Services-Division of Prevention & Early Intervention, Community Programs for the
Catholic Multicultural Center to provide Afghan refugee assistance. Motion to approve by
Wegleitner, seconded by Palm. Motion to approve carried 6 (Bare, Castillo, Doyle, Haasl,
Palm, Wegleitner)-0.
• HHN-O-2: Expenditures be increased by $100,000 in the Department of Human
Services for a POS contract with Families Back to the Table, Inc. to support the range of
needs of their clients to include housing, case management, mentoring, AODA
counseling, nutrition, and mental health.
Motion to amend by Palm by striking the specific provider and requiring an RFP for 2022,
seconded by Haasl.
Motion to amend by Palm as follows: Expenditures be increased by $100,000 in the
Department of Human Services for an RFP to include housing, case management,
mentoring, AODA counseling, nutrition and mental health. Seconded by Wegleitner.

Motion to amend by Wegleitner as follows: Increase expenditures by $100,000 for a new
POS contract in the CYF division to provide holistic, accessible, culturally relevant,
community based services to families. Services may support a range of needs, including
housing, case management, mentoring, AODA counseling, nutrition, and mental health.

• HHN-O-3: Add the following language to 2021 RES-191: "The operating budget includes
$300,000 for homeless outreach activities. The county will be drafting a report for
implementation of of a potential lawful camping and car camping sites for people
experiencing homelessness. When these sites are established these funds will be
prioritized for services and property management activities to support people staying at
