AAA Mission Statement
Long discussion by Board members of sections of the Mission Statement. Supervisor
Downing wanted it noted that his solution to the line "This plan also lays the groundwork
for multisector partnerships in the future to create collaborative care ecosystems and
foster age-friendly environments that empower older adults and promote quality of life
across the lifespan." That the ADRC Board take over the implementation of the Aging
Plan as they have more resources to lay the groundwork that has not been done by the
AAA. SUpervisor Downing noted Ordinance 15.185(d) gives the ADRC Board the
concrete answer to laying the groundwork.
