Landfill, attend virtually via Zoom.  
A. Call To Order  
The meeting was called to order by Chair Mrowiec @ 1:09pm.

Safety Briefing  
Landfill staff conducted safety briefing for all in attendance.  
B. Consideration of Minutes  
FEBRUARY 2024 LEPC MINUTES  
A motion was made by DEMORETT, seconded by BUBENZER, that the minutes be  
approved. The motion carried by a voice vote.  
C. Action Items  
Election of Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson  
Opened up nominations for Chairperson. Tim Mrowiec was only nomination. Tim Mrowiec  
accepted the nomination and was re-elected as Chairperson.  
Opened nominations for Vice Chairperson. Nathan Bubenzer was only nomination.  
Nathan Bubenzer accepted the nomination and was re-elected as Vice Chairperson.  
D. Reports to Committee  
Madison Fire HazMat Team Report -Mrowiec  
The Hazmat team responded to four incidents since the February meeting.  
-February 22, Madison, decontamination for exposure to fentanyl  
-March 16, Madison, individual mixed a bunch of cleaning chemicals and created a vapor  
cloud  
-April 24, DeForest, responded to a mercury spill  
-May 1, Sun Prairie, ammonia gas release response  
EPCRA Report - Pintarro  
-Finally received the check for the 2023 EPCRA Grant.  
-The hazmat computer and equipment grant pre-application was just released, Dane  
County always uses the grant for equipment and will be completing the pre-application.  
Currently working with Tim on getting the equipment list for submission on the grant  
application, expected to open in early July.  
-The state reached out for administrating a 3rd part of the HMEP Commodity Flow Study  
grant. The old grant was closed out at the end of March included rail lines. 3rd part is  
related to water transportation.  
-A new statewide LEPC newsletter came out and will forward by the end of the week.  
-Received notice of rail training if anyone is interested in that. Darlene will forward that  
notice on as well.  
LEPC Membership Report - Addition of DNR Representative, other outstanding  
representative vacancies. Membership appointments terms will begin or renew effective  
June 2024. Appointments are for 2 years.  
Trevor Bannister, DNR representative introduced himself. Media representative should be  
determined before the October meeting. Charlotte Deleste is no longer part of a media  
organization and cannot fill the media representative role. All others will have terms  
renewed through June 2026.  
E. Future Meeting Items and Dates  
The next meeting is schedule for Monday, October 7, 2024 at 1:00pm. Location will be  
determined and sent out to the committee once determined.

G. Such Other Business as Allowed by Law  
None  
H. Tour of Dane County Landfill  
Tour of the RNG Plant was conducted and meeting was adjourned for all members in  
attendance.  
I. Adjourn  
A motion was made by KRONING, seconded by DRESSER, that the LEPC meeting  
be adjourned. The motion carried by a voice vote.  
Meeting adjourned at 1:25pm.
