C. Discussion Items  
PulsePoint Verified Responder  
PulsePoint Verified Responder launched about a month ago. There are 83 active Verified  
Responders so far.  
Narcan Leave Behind Program  
FitchRona piloted the Narcan leave-behind program in partnership with Public Health.  
Public Health receives grants to help fund the supplies needed. Program will be  
expanding countywide starting in 2023.  
Cardiac Arrest Data and Success  
Over 800 detailed summaries on cardiac arrest cases have been put together with  
HPCPR metrics reviewed. Dane County's overall survival rate is about 12%. Thank you to  
Eric Anderson for all the outstanding work on this!  
Feedback on Future Agenda Items  
Staffing issues; EMS approach to mental health emergencies, especially outside of  
Madison; Consolidation of EMS services: managing expectations.

911 CAD will be getting new capabilities in the next couple months; more information to  
be shared in the future.  
F. Future Meeting Items and Dates  
Commission members discussed adjusting the meeting schedule to the third Wednesday  
of every month starting in 2023. DCEMS office will follow up with absent members to  
ensure this change works for them. Meetings will also move to a hybrid format with the  
in-person taking place at Fitchburg Fire Station #1.  
G. Public Comment on Items not on the Agenda  
All EMS services have had some money allocated to them following application for the  
Governor's EMS grant. The DCEMS office will be receiving approximately $17,000 to  
purchase high performance CPR mannequins, laptops for data use, and Counterstrike  
Active Threat training boards.  
DCEM's new bariatric ambulance is functional and ready to deploy. The office will keep  
old R30 through 2023 for agencies to use.

Introduction of Zander Johnston, DCEM's new EM Specialist. Welcome Zander!
