Chair Thoresen called the Park Commission Meeting to order at 5:30 PM.

B. Consideration of Minutes  
Minutes of the January 28, 2026 Park Commission  
A motion was made by GOFORTH, seconded by BOGUE, that the Minutes be  
approved. The motion carried by a voice vote 7-0, YGP 1-0.  
C. Referrals (Resolutions & Ordinance Amendments)  
AUTHORIZING LAND, PERMANENT LIMITED EASEMENT AND TEMPORARY  
LIMITED EASEMENT SALE AT BABCOCK COUNTY PARK TO WISCONSIN

A motion was made by BROUWER, seconded by BOGUE, that the Resolution  
Requiring 2/3rds Vote be recommended for approval. The motion carried by a  
voice vote 7-0, YGP 1-0.

FOR THE WALKING IRON TRAIL (FUCHS REAL ESTATE, LLC)

A motion was made by BROUWER, seconded by EICHER, that the Resolution be  
recommended for approval. The motion carried by a voice vote 6-0, POSTLER  
abstained, YGP 1-0.

Last week Dane County Parks received two awards from Wisconsin Park & Recreation Association: a  
Park Design award for the new playground McCarthy Youth and Conservation Park and a Silver Star  
Award for Women and Gender Minorities chainsaw trainings and workdays. Commission congratulated  
Dane County Parks for these awards and Parks Director Joleen Stinson for starting her term as President  
of the Wisconsin Parks and Recreation Association.

into closed session. The motion carried by the following vote:

The Commission (or Committee) met in closed session for the purpose of deliberating or  
negotiating the purchasing or acquiring of property where open discussion of bargaining  
positions and strategies would discourage bargaining and harm the public's interest in  
obtaining properties. The authority for this possible closed session is Wis.Stat.19.85(1)  
(e).  
YGP Sanghvan left the meeting at 6:00 PM during Closed Session.

A motion was made by BROUWER, seconded by BOGUE, that the Meeting exit  
out of closed session. The motion carried by the following vote:
