A motion was made by Miquelon to approve the minutes from the 3/06/2026 Arts  
and Cultural Affairs Executive Committee meeting.  
The motion was carried unanimously by a voice vote.  
2. Approve Commission meeting minutes from March 17, 2026  
A motion was made by Puleo Moyer to approve the minutes from the 3/17/2026  
Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission meeting.  
The motion was carried unanimously by a voice vote.  
C. Review 2026 Cycle One Overall Status/Recommendations to Commission  
1. Approve Capital Grant allocation recommendations (action item)  
Commissioner Klehr will present recommendations for the 2026 Cycle 1 Capital  
Grant awards during the April 14th commission meeting.  
2. Approve Short Order Grant allocation recommendations (action item)  
A discussion took place around 2026 Cycle 1 short order grant awards. Director  
Fraire recommended awarding $500 to each of the 23 eligible applicants, which  
will be discussed during the April 14th commission meeting.  
3. Consensus on project grant mathematical formula allocations  
Commissioner Curet will present a recommendation for the 2026 Cycle 1  
project grant awards during the April 14th commission meeting.  
4. Confirm panelist stipends  
29 panelists participated in review meetings.  
$2,900 is the updated total budget allocated for panelist honoraria.  
5. Confirm grant pool budget amount  
The approved 2026 Cycle 1 grant pool is $113,000 with a break-down of $5,800  
for capital, $5,800 for short order, and $101,400 for project awards.  
D. Dane Arts Anniversary Committee Update  
A discussion took place around Dane Arts 50th anniversary planning including a  
potential event and fundraising to support grant programming.  
E. Executive Director’s Report  
1. General Updates  
Dane Arts staff continue to discuss the calendar and poster call for art for 2027.  
Three new members have been appointed to the commission. Commission  
term dates were discussed.  
2. Business of Art Conference final update  
A discussion about the Business of Art Conference took place, including  
sponsorships and business donations, current registration numbers, and  
scheduling options for 2027.  
F. Future Meeting Items and Dates  
1. Develop April Commission Meeting Agenda  
The agenda for the April 14th commission meeting is published in Legistar.  
2. Events Calendar  
The events calendar will be discussed during the April 14th commission  
meeting.  
G. Public Comment on Items not on the Agenda  
Commissioner Miquelon noted that Wild Rumpus Circus has a show at MyArts  
on Saturday, April 11th at 7 p.m. Commissioners are invited to attend.  
H. Such Other Business as Allowed by Law
