B. Consideration of Minutes  
AAA Legislative/Advocacy Committee Minutes April 23, 2025.  
A motion was made by SCHMIDLKOFER, seconded by BUNCK, that the minutes  
be approved. The motion carried by a voice vote.

a. Advocacy Supporting Federal & State Programs  
Advocacy Summary from Focal Points  
VELASQUEZ summarized the Focal Point summary of their work on  
Advocacy for services.  
FOX summarized a report from USAging committee and the Senate  
reconciliation of SNAP provisions with regards to cost-sharing.

E. Reports to Committee  
1. ADRC Governing Board  
ADRC Board Minutes-5.12.25.  
No Minutes for June meeting. Lack of quorum for a meeting.  
2. County/State/Federal Legislative  
FOX discussed having a meeting on Monday June 30 with Senator  
Baldwin. Talk about any budget changes that may happen yet.  
3. State's Aging Advisory Council  
BUNCK summarized meeting notes from a couple of weeks ago.  
4. Wisconsin Aging Advocacy Network  
GWAAR BOARD ADVOCACY UPDATE  
Members discussion on private providers to find a best match for  
assisted living facilities. People not realizing these private  
providers are promoting certain places. Good idea was to get this  
information out in newsletters from Focal Points.  
5. Chair & Staff Reports  
Lynn Riley was formally introduced as the AAA Manager.  
VELASQUEZ mentioned a new member to join the committee after  
appointment from the AAA Board on July 7.  
LEZOTTE asked about how many AAA Board member openings  
there were. VELASQUEZ provided information to members.
