A motion was made by GRAY that the Minutes be approved. The motion carried

AUTHORIZE ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT FUNDING FOR THE DANE COUNTY  
SHERIFF’S OFFICE HAZARDOUS DEVICES UNIT

2025 RES-390 were: Nero Grok-Gallagher and Cecil Wilson.  
Barrett presented. A motion was made by GRAY that the Resolution Requiring  
2/3rds Vote be postponed indefinitely in committee. The motion carried by a  
voice vote. 7-0; YGP: 2-0  
E. Discussion Item  
Chair Furman asked committee members for suggestions on committee  
priorities for the term.  
Chair Furman proposed holding 30 minute department head presentations, that  
would include the department's number of employees, budget, and funding  
sources. Vice Chair Larson requested that departments offer whether a visit is  
practical. Supervisor Trucios asked that the presentations include information  
about employee conditions, hours and the impact of current vacancies.  
Supervisor Trucios proposed that the committee prioritize learning more about  
emergency department programs and criminal deferment programs.  
Chair Furman proposed that the committee prioritize learning more about the  
status of the community court and the jail medical services agreement.  
F. Future Meeting Items and Dates  
May 26, 2026 - Regular Business  
Chair Furman also proposed resuming the normal cadence of Tuesdays after  
County Board meetings.
