The meeting was called to order by Chair Mrowiec @ 1:33pm.

B. Consideration of Minutes  
JUNE 2022 LEPC MINUTES  
A motion was made by ROSE, seconded by DELESTE, that the Minutes be  
approved. The motion carried by a voice vote.  
C. Presentations  
Presentation of the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) - Kim  
Piskacek (CISA)  
Presentation on Codes - Ed Ruckriegel (Madison Fire Department)  
D. Reports to Committee  
Madison Fire HazMat Team Report - Mrowiec  
The HazMat Response Team responded to two incidents since the June meeting.  
-July 12 - Responded to a leaking container, packed and monitored the container  
-July 14 - Responded to a City of Madison Park for Decontamination  
EPCRA Report - Pintarro  
EPCRA Plan of Work (POW) is continuing. Waiting on nine facilities for signatures for  
Off-Site plans.  
The POW for EPCRA is changing in 2023 to follow an annual calendar. The current POW  
for FY22, was extended through December 31, 2022. The new award amount for 2022 is  
$104, 645.00. The award amount for 2023 will be $97,592.00.  
The Countywide Strategic Plan is moving forward.  
The Computer and HazMat Equipment grant has been awarded. The County has a 20%  
match, working with MFD for documentation on equipment purchases.  
Dane County has been awarded two Hazardous Materials Emergency Preparedness  
(HMEP) Grants. Dane County will work with several other counties in the region and a  
contractor for both. One grant will involve a Commodity Flow study and the other grant is  
to complete an exercise involving transportation and hazardous materials.  
LEPC Membership Reports - All  
No additional reports from the committee.  
E. Future Meeting Items and Dates  
Next meeting is scheduled for February 13, 2023, Ed Ruckriegel will work with Amcor to  
arrange a tour of the facility. The June meeting will be on June 12, 2023 and will be at  
MFD Station 7 and will include a tour of the Hazardous Incident Team (HIT) Response  
vehicle.
