and she was welcomed by all.

A motion was made by ENGELBERGER, seconded by RIPP, that the Minutes be  
approved. The motion carried by a voice vote 5-0, YGP 2-0.

CLIMATE CHANGE PROGRAM UPDATE

Climate Change Program Update – Michelle Probst, Natural Resources Educator  
provided an overview of her recent program highlighting her work on climate change  
initiatives.

EXTENSION PROGRAM REPORT OCTOBER 2022

Director Report – Carrie Edgar provided a staffing update – Ely Moya, current  
part-time Juntos program coordinator has accepted the Bilingual Youth Development  
Educator position and will begin on Nov. 21. And Kula Yang, Family Relationships &  
Financial Security Educator will start on Jan 3rd. The greenhouse at Fen Oak is nearing  
completion and should be ready to use soon. Taylor Seale, Youth Development  
Educator is involved with two new coalitions. She is partnering with Public Health  
Madison/Dane for a Tobacco Prevention Youth Coalition on the Northside of Madison with  
a primary focus on reaching BIPOC youth. And she is part of a new collaboration with  
UW Health's Healthy Kids Collaborative for a local youth-centered coalition around  
LGBTQ+ behavioral health initiatives. Edgar also shared the October Program Summary  
Report with all.  
F. Announcements  
Next meeting – December 20 at 4 pm – Edgar requested the committee consider  
cancelling if no time sensitive action items due to Hanukah and other holidays that week.  
The committee was supportive and asked that Edgar check with Chair Yang and if she  
approves, notify all of the cancelation.  
G. Such Other Business as Allowed by Law

A motion was made by ENGELBERGER, seconded by KIGEYA, that the meeting  
be adjourned. The motion carried unanimously 5-0, YGP 2-0.
