The March 20, 2023 Public Protection & Judiciary Committee meeting will be a hybrid meeting. Members  
of the public can either attend in person or virtually via Zoom.  
The public can attend in person at the City-County Building, Room 357.

2021-2023 Legislative Agenda  
1.

Springer presented.  
Supervisor Weigand suggested adding the following as legislative priorities:  
• supporting state efforts to stop human trafficking  
• the rise of vehicle thefts as a legislative priority.  
• supporting efforts to protect individuals from predatory lenders.  
Chair Andrae suggested adding the following as legislative priorities:  
• supporting the ability to enroll in Medicaid for 30 days prior to release from jail.  
• supporting the rights of individuals to protect their property during the eviction  
process.  
Chair Andrae asked committee members to be prepared to suggest changes at the  
April 25th PP&J meeting.  
E. Future Meeting Items and Dates  
Joint meeting with P&F on April 10, 2023  
Chair Andrae informed the committee that the April 25, 2023 meeting will be regular  
business and will include CJC Quarterly Report & DA Report on Data System, and the  
Legislative Agenda priorities of PP&J.

Follow up regarding presentation on policy and procedures related to personal property  
during evictions.  
Chair Andrae, Supervisor Weigand, Supervisor Rose and Supervisor Gray provided  
comment on the Committee’s ability to take any further action.
