Triggs called for nominations for chair.  
A motion was made by CAMPBELL, seconded by PRADO, that CRAWFORD  
be nominated as Chair of the CJC-BH subcommittee. The motion carried by  
the following vote:

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SUBCOMMITTEE MEETING

1. Madison Police Department's Mental Health Unit  
Sergeant Jared Prado provided a presentation on Madison Police Department’s Mental  
Health Unit.

1. Discussion of Intercept 3 Jail/Courts  
Clark-Bernhardt gave an overview of Intercept 3.  
Judge Crawford requested that members review Intercept 3 to see what needs to be  
updated.  
Registrant Paul Saemen spoke on this item.  
2. Update on the Crisis Triage Center  
Campbell provided an update noting that the Ferris Center will be used as the Crisis  
Triage Center. A RFP has been released for architectural and design work.  
RFP for provider will be released in the next week or so, hoping the operator will have  
some input on the architecture and design of the facility.  
Difficult to project an opening date, a lot of construction to take place.  
RFP references preference for a firm that has experience with a similar facility.  
Operator RFP likely to be out for 8 or 9 weeks.  
G. Future Meeting Items and Dates  
The next meeting will occur on April 28th at 12:15pm.  
Crawford will not be able to attend, Triggs will chair the April 18th meeting.  
More time on gaps and resources at jail and court intercept.  
H. Public Comment on Items not on the Agenda  
I. Such Other Business as Allowed by Law  
Crawford shared that a group of Wisconsin judges will be doing a site visit to Miami for  
a presentation.  
Chief Justice of WI Supreme Court has convened a summit on Mental Health includes  
Todd Campbell, Sheriff Barrett, and Colleen Clark-Bernhardt.  
J. Adjourn  
A motion was made by OZANNE, seconded by CAMPBELL, that the meeting be  
adjourned. The motion carried unanimously.  
The meeting adjourned at 1:05pm.
