PFAS Questions and Responses from the March 8, 2023 Joint Committee

Meeting of the Airport Commission and Environment, Agriculture & Natural  
Resources Committee

Chair Chawla invited committee members to submit questions regarding PFAS  
remediation at the Dane County Regional Airport to him directly, which he will compile and  
send to the Airport Director and others. Preliminary questions posed by the committee  
included:  
1. A request for more information on the county approval process for extending the pilot  
proejct, e.g. what role, if any, does the County Board play.  
2. A request for more information that addresses concerns that there may be unintended  
environmental consequences of the pilot project.  
3. A request that the raw data from the pilot study be provided directly to County Board  
members again.  
H. Future Meeting Items and Dates  
There will likely NOT be a meeting on Wednesday, May 24th. The Committee will be  
notified by email if there is a need to scheduled a meeting.  
The next scheduled meeting will be Wednesday, June 7th and will be a joint meeting with  
the Land Conservation Committee and the Lakes & Watershed Commission.
