The Wednesday March 22, 2023 AAA Legislative/Advocacy Committee meeting will be a hybrid meeting.  
Members of the public can either attend in person or virtually via Zoom.  
The public can attend in person at the ADRC building, 2865 N Sherman Ave, Madison.

A motion was made by MCHONE, seconded by SCHMIDLKOFER, that the minutes

C. Discussion Item  
2024 Budget Asks/Advocacy-Angela Velasquez  
Dane County Disability Aging Services Division Administrator Angela Velasquez talked to  
and answered questions by committee members about how the overall budget process  
goes in the county and changes for this year of being inclusive of all aging programming  
budget requests. Committee members had discussion on the process and the next  
steps.

OLSON reported that the state has funding requests for Adult Protective Services and  
ADRC. Discussion of drafting letter to AAA Board to support/advocate for the state  
budget request.

OLSON mentioned needing to come up with a date and location for the training day.

recommending Deana Zentner be appointed to the AAA Legislative/Advocacy Committee  
to fill a vacancy.

Next meeting: Wednesday, April 26, 2023 9 am via Hybrid  
Invite APS, ADRC and Transportation to next meeting to discuss budget needs.
