UW EXTENSION COMMITTEE MINUTES 21.FEB.2023

A motion was made by ENGELBERGER, seconded by MCGINNITY, that the  
Minutes be approved. The motion carried by a voice vote 5-0.  
D. Reports  
Director Report – Carrie Edgar  
Edgar shared a staffing update. Nadia Alber began on March 6th as the 4-H  
Associate Educator. Jonatan Garcia has accepted the Office Operations Associate  
position in FoodWIse. All positions are currently filled in the department. The VITA site is  
operating smoothly and appointments are almost filled for this tax season. The YGP  
youth are working on a collaborative presentation to be shared with the County Board and  
others. We will plan to share it with this group once complete. The Pandemic Food  
Study has been completed by the consulting group and will be presented to the DCFC on  
March 22 at 5:30. All are encouraged to attend or watch the recording if interested in  
learning about the recommendations. The Feb monthly summary report which includes  
the FoodWIse annual report was shared with all.

Climate Change & Public Participation Initiatives - Sharon Lezberg, Community  
Development Educator provided an overview of her work on community engagement and  
highlighted the Stoughton Sustainable Committee process.
