A motion was made by MCGINNITY, seconded by ENGELBERGER, that the  
Minutes be approved. The motion carried by a voice vote 6-0.  
D. Presentations  
• Dairy Program Update – Alison Pfau, Regional Dairy Educator presented on her  
programming efforts to date.

• 2023 VITA Report – Clare Dahl, Financial Literacy & LifeSpan Educator provided an  
overview of the 2023 tax season at the Richard Dilley Tax Center.

E. Reports  
• Youth in Governance Report – Eli Tedesco shared their experience participating in the  
YGP program this year. Eli reported they enjoyed the meetings. They suggested having  
YGP members attend some of the meetings in person in future years. Eli share, “One  
thing I learned is improving my communication.” Eli provided information about this YGP  
cohort’s group project on youth homelessness. Eli plans to attend Lawrence University in  
the fall.  
• Director Report – Carrie Edgar provided a staffing update for the department. She also  
provided a programming update – BYFY has wrapped up the latest cohort. YGP will be  
wrapping up this month and the application process is now open for the next cohort.  
There are several upcoming gardening workshops and webinars. The Master Gardener  
plant sale is this Sunday, May 21 from 11-3. Extension will be offering several workshops  
and activities to promote pollinator month during June. And in July, we will be  
participating in the Environmental Fun Fair at the Lussier Family Heritage Center.
