A motion was made by CATON CAMPBELL, seconded by NENNIG, that the  
Minutes be approved. The motion carried by a voice vote 6-0.

DCFC Work Groups  
Members held a discussion about some possible adjustments to DCFC Work Groups.  
A motion was made by ANDRAE, seconded by JANISCH, that the motions to shift  
the work groups out of the subcommittee structure be approved. The motion Vote  
no without objection (7-0)  
A motion was made by ANDRAE, seconded by RITT, that the motion to postpone  
this work group action item indefinitely be approved. The motion carried  
unanimously 6-0.

USDA Regional Food System Partnership grant application is open; due May 2. REAP  
Food Group is planning to be the lead applicant.  
Sift Consulting will present about the Dane County Pandemic Food System Study at the  
DCFC meeting on Weds, March 22, 5:30 pm (hybrid format – option to attend either via  
zoom or in-person (5201 Fen Oak Dr, Madison, WI, 53704 – Drumlin Room).  
- Regional Agriculture & Food Sovereignty – TESCH  
Documented a story about McPike Park food garden space planning for Farmland  
Preservation Task Force.  
Currently supporting and assisting the City of Madison Farmland Preservation Task  
Force.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) emergency allotments will be  
coming to an end in February. All SNAP (FoodShare in Wisconsin) recipients have been  
receiving additional funds on their EBT card since the beginning of the COVID-19  
pandemic, with everyone receiving at least the maximum benefit for their household size  
and the households with the least resources receiving an additional $95/month. Beginning  
in March, households will return to their pre-pandemic benefit levels, which could be a  
change of hundreds of dollars per month for some families. Emergency food providers  
are bracing for a potential surge in demand.

Dane County Executive announced recipients of $2 million in local emergency food pantry  
Upcoming food systems educational events on the UW-Madison Extension Dane County  
Ecosystem Development) virtual Spring 2023 Workshop Series: Tips for Food and Farm  
Business Success – dates are Thurs, March 9 evening, and then Mondays March  
13-April 24. March 20 will feature Chris Brockel of FEED Kitchens and Thony Clarke of  
Café Costa Rica and Mango Man Salsa. There will also be a Green Thumb Gardening  
Spring class series in March-April.
