approved. The motion carried by voice vote.

1. Mission and Work Plan of Community Court Advisory Committee  
Dane County Community Court Initiative Planning Phase Action Plan  
2023

Discussion on six-month action and work plan for planning phase and committee. The  
Community Court Advisory subcommittee is tasked to advise the planning and  
implementation of a Dane County Community Court initiative through the identification of  
participant eligibility, establishment and identification of required support services, and in  
the development of an action implementation plan. Discussion on 1) creation of a project  
implementation plan; 2) launching community court; 3) implementation of a risk/needs  
assessment tool; 4) collection and reporting of required data quarterly; 5) implementation  
ongoing community engagement and public promotion strategies; 6) site visits. Question  
on the availability of policy and procedures documents. Question on key dates and  
feasibility to meet objectives in May. Question on required site visits. Question on  
risk-needs-responsivity assessment.

2. Current Adult Diversion Programs  
Summary of Adult Diversion/Deflection Programs in Dane County

Overview and summary of Adult Deflection/Diversion Programs in Dane County and  
alternatives to traditional criminal justice responses. Question on housing status and  
existing diversion programs with respect to a future community court initiative. Question  
on identifying the speed in which a case is processed and addressing gaps for both  
victim and defendants with respect to long processing times. Comment on LaFolette  
School students working with City of Milwaukee on developing a community court.
