A motion was made by FEY, seconded by TESCH, that the Minutes be approved.  
The motion carried by a voice vote 3-0.

Local market development Alder Vidaver sought input on Public Market Financing to fill  
$3m withdrawn by federal Economic Development Agency  
Request information from EDA staff  
Contact federal representatives  
Construction costs have risen everywhere  
Local governments can’t be expected to respond in 7 days  
Local politics about location  
Produce Safety  
- Safe Wisconsin Produce (SWP):  
REAP working on this - Anna Landmark is knowledgeable, boot camp coming up.  
Buyers may need to adopt before growers will participate. Dan - GAP Certification won’t  
go away, but involved in establishing the SWP program to simplify.  
Land for cultivation  
- Raemisch Farm property update - recent proposal approved for Green Street  
development.  
Connect local grower needs with available land -- Rooted, Groundswell, Marbleseed,  
Land  
Stewardship Project etc.  
Private sale/lease opportunities are hard to track  
Large USDA Grants becoming available:  
Regional Food Business Centers (regional) FPCs could apply; Sarah Lloyd et al  
working on large proposal involving WI, MN, IA (Dan on calls)  
*Land Capital Access Program due 10/28 (webinar 9/7) should be the priority.

Farmland Preservation Task Force approved 9/6/22  
Only objection was from Smart Growth representative, impact on housing
