INITIATIVES COMMITTEE  
A motion was made by HUELSEMANN, seconded by KIGEYA, that the minutes be  
approved. The motion carried by a voice vote.

1. Areas of Current Funding and Potential Gaps in Funding of Violence Prevention  
Work  
Aurielle Smith, Public Health Director of Policy, Planning, and Evaluation at Public  
Health Madison Dane County, presented on violence prevention programming throughout  
Dane County. After the presentation, Chair Gray asked members if they had questions.  
Discussion ensued. Smith indicated that staffing capacity is the biggest need in  
program delivery.

2. Focused Interruption Coalition  
Anthony Cooper Sr., President and CEO of Focused Interruption, presented on the  
organization's work and needs. He indicated that increasing staffing capacity would be  
helpful. Discussion ensued.  
Staff will coordinate meetings with the committee Chair, Vice-Chair, and the presenters to  
discuss development of proposals for the June 7th meeting.

June 7th at 5:30 pm. The committee will review proposals for funding.
