A motion was made by HYNES, seconded by HUELSEMANN, that the minutes be  
approved. The motion carried by a voice vote.  
C. Action Items  
1. Review and Recommendations on Funding Proposals  
Stephanie Marino presented on the Community Restorative Court's proposal - the request  
includes one priority request. The priority request funds two full time program leader  
positions. Other requests include funding a full time data analyst position, funding a  
limited term (LTE) data analyst position, providing wraparound funding, and providing  
training for staff. Entire proposal would cost: $348,800.  
Aurielle Smith presented on Public Health Madison and Dane County's proposal - the  
request includes five requests. The first priority request is to fund a violence intervention  
program supervisor and outreach and response specialist. The second request is to fund  
a violence prevention grant program specialist and create opportunities to advance key  
objectives and strategies within the Violence Prevention Roadmap to Reducing Violence.  
The third request is to provide stipend funding for service providers. The fourth request is  
to fund client support needs. The fifth request is to provide community healing funds.  
Without objection, the Chair called for a 5 minute recess for members of the committee  
to review the Focused Interruption proposal.  
Discussion and questions ensued regarding hiring timelines, the available funding in 2023  
and beyond, and the length of time for proposed positions (funding for 3 years and then  
evaluate outcomes).

2. Resolution Drafting Instructions to Staff  
Discussion regarding proposals ensued. Committee discussed various funding  
strategies based on submitted proposals. Pellebon and Huelsemann proposed funding  
strategies.  
A motion was made by Pellebon to move forward her proposal. No second.  
A motion was made by Supervisor Huelsemann and seconded by Supervisor Hynes to  
approve Huelsemann's proposal. Motion passed by a voice vote 3-1 (Pellebon).
