A motion was made by Linda Ketcham and seconded by Michele Doolan to  
approve the 08/7/23 meeting minutes. No discussion and no opposition; motion  
passed unanimously.

1. Repealing Section 23.07(6) of the Madison General Ordinances and amending  
Section 23.07(13) and 1.08(3) of the Madison General Ordinances to remove associated  
references.

A motion was made by Linda Ketcham and seconded by Sarah Smith for the  
City County Homeless Issues Community to make a recommendation to  
support repealing Section 23.07 of the Madison General Ordinances and  
amending Section 23.07 (13) and 1.08(3) of the Madison General Ordinances  
to remove associated references. Motion passed by roll call vote.

2. 2024 City and County budget recommendation  
Members requested the city and county budget agenda topic be included again in next  
month’s agenda.  
Kathy Kamp moved that staff work with the co-chairs to send an email to the  
Mayor, County Executive, City Common Council members and the County  
Board of Supervisor expressing support for additional funds for the men’s  
shelter capital budget. Linda Ketcham seconded and added a friendly  
amendment to also include a request of $36,000 from the City and $44,000  
from the County to support the Lived Experience Council. Motion approved  
unanimously.
