The March 7, 2024 Executive Committee meeting will be a hybrid meeting. Members of the public can

sponsor of the resolution, spoke in support, as did most other members of the

RECONSTITUTING THE DANE COUNTY BROADBAND TASK FORCE

CELEBRATING VETERANS DAY AS AN OFFICIAL COUNTY HOLIDAY

Steve Books, Madison, spoke to the committee and advocated for included reference to  
Armistice Day in the resolution. See Registration Report for 3/7/24 Executive Comm  
meeting attached with minutes for more details.  
A motion was made by SCHAUER, seconded by GRAY, that the resolution be  
recommended for approval. The motion carried by a voice vote.  
E. Items Requiring Committee Action  
SUGGESTED CHANGES TO CHAPTER 7 COUNTY BOARD RULES  
FOR 2024-2026 TERM  
Attachments:  
Supervisor Wegleitner spoke in opposition to the proposed provision in 7.63 including  
payments over $10,000. Discussion ensued among committee members.  
Supervisor Wegleitner proposed adding the following language to proposed new section  
7.22(9):  
Create a new section (a) "Contracts, agreements, policies, and plans that are the subject  
of a resolution or on an agenda shall be included in the legislative file."  
DIsucssion ensued and the committee moved to include the proposed additional  
language.  
The committee reviewed the remaining proposed changes and took the actions reflected  
in these minutes.  
Staff will send drafting instructions for the Ch 7 update OA to Corporation Counsel for  
referral to Executive Committee at its 3/21/24 meeting.  
A motion was made by PALM , seconded by SMITH, that the action item be  
amended to remove reference to "payments over $10,000" in 7.63(1)(a). The  
motion to amend failed.  
A motion was made by PALM, seconded by DOOLAN, that the action item be  
approved as amended. The motion carried by a voice vote.  
AMENDMENT: Add "Pretrial Services" after the addition of Office for Justice  
Reform in s. 7.17(1).  
A motion was made by MILES, seconded by PALM, that the action item be  
approved as amended. The motion carried by a voice vote.  
AMENDMENT: Add "Public Health Madison Dane County" under section 7.14(2).  
A motion was made by SCHAUER, seconded by GRAY, that the action item be  
approved as amended and that staff is directed to provide Corporation Counsel  
OA drafting instructions for the Chapter 7 updates for the new term. The motion  
carried by a voice vote.
