B. Consideration of Minutes  
MEDICAL ADVISORY SUBCOMMITTEE APRIL MINUTES  
The minutes were approved.  
C. Action Items  
Dr. Tripp - Lohmeier  
Lohmeier thanked Dr. Warren Tripp for his service and dedication to the medical field in  
Dane County and presented him with a certificate. Tripp in turn thanked the committee  
and reflected on its acheivements throughout the years. Committee wishes Tripp a happy  
retirement.  
Infection Control Resource Handbook - Lohmeier  
Lohmeier reported on some formatting being finalized. Committee reveiwed flow charts  
and made some changes to wording. Committee discussed making carbon copies for ED  
Evaluation forms to keep with handbook at each agency. Lohmeier to finalize and print  
copies.  
CARES - Mancera  
Mancera gave update on Dane County's 2018 statistics on cardiac arrest and survival  
rates. Overall the county is meeting and exceeding national averages for survival rates  
and public AED use. PulsePoint was discussed as a possible factor as to the amount of  
positive outcomes. Mancera concluded with hope to see the positive trend of survival  
rates continue throughout upcoming years.  
Measles - Lohmeier  
Lohmeier attended a meeting with Public Health to discuss the risk of a measles  
outbreak. Report was generally positive and highlighted how organized and efficient the  
Public Health Department is; there is a detailed procedure in place for handling  
suspected and confirmed cases. The effectiveness of the vaccine (98%) was discussed,  
along with the requirement for all hospital personnel to provide records of their  
immunization. Lang proposed starting a discussion on EMS agencies developing a  
requirement for their personnel to be vaccinated as well.
