2022 DANE COUNTY OPERATING BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS

A motion was made by SCHAUER, seconded by ERICKSON, that the Resolution
be amended by reallocating expenditures and revenues by $555,000, deleting the
following language from Sub. 1 to 2021 RES-193: "The 2020 wage scales for
non-represented employees will be adjusted such that any step in any grade that
is less than or equal to $26.94 per hour shall be increased by $0.24 beginning
with the first pay period of 2022." and "The wage scales for non-represented
employees will increase by 3.0% beginning with pay period 1 of 2022 and 3%
beginning with pay period 13 of 2022." and inserting the following language: "As
of the pay period 1 of 2022, any employee earning an hourly wage of $33.34 or
less shall receive a pay increase of $1.00 per hour. The hourly wage of any
employee with an hourly wage over $33.34 will be increased by 3%. As of pay
period 13 if 2022, any employee earning an hourly wage of $34.34 or less shall
receive a pay increase of $1.03 per hour. The hourly wage of any employee with
an hourly wage over $34.34 will be increased by 3%." The motion carried by the

A motion was made by MILES, seconded by ERICKSON, that the Resolution be
amended by decreasing expenditures by $25,000 to reflect delaying the start date
for the training deputy position included in amendment PP&J-O-3 from July 1 to
October 1 and increasing expenditures by $25,000 to bring funding for the
homeless services plan from $50,000 to $75,000 and add the following language
to 2021 RES-193: "The operating budget includes $75,000 in the Human Services
Department to update the required homeless services plan. Expenditure of these
funds is contingent upon the City of Madison contributing an amount of $75,000 or
greater to the effort." The motion carried by the following vote:
