APPROVING FINAL COUNTY BOARD SUPERVISORY DISTRICT PLAN  
EICHER, DOWNING and CHAWLA

Brian Standing spoke about the non-partisan redistricting process and answered  
committee member questions. All 67 Dane Co. municipalities got their ward plans  
adopted and entered into the state system.The most significant changes with population  
occurred in the downtown area of the City of Madison. Some boundaries were shifted to  
accommodate ward plans.  
Chair Eicher thanked the commission and staff for their work, especially under the tight  
timeline due to U.S. census delays because of the pandemic. She is proud of the new  
non-partisan commission process led by Dane County. Supervisors Bayrd and Erickson  
also thanked the commission and staff and remarked on the non-partisan commission  
process.  
A motion was made by EICHER, seconded by CHAWLA, that the resolution be  
recommended for approval. The motion carried by a voice vote.  
SUPPORTING THE FORMATION OF A LARGE WISCONSIN COUNTIES  
ASSOCIATION

Sup. Miles spoke in support of the resolution, the purpose of which is to direct the  
county's legislative liaison to engage with other large WI counties to gauge interest in  
developing an association.  
A motion was made by ERICKSON, seconded by CHAWLA, that the Resolution be  
recommended for approval. The motion carried by a voice vote.

H. Future Meeting Items and Dates  
There is one meeting scheduled in December for this committee: December 16th. It will  
be a virtual meeting. Meeting room renovations and technology updates are still  
underway.  
I. Public Comment on Items not on the Agenda  
Supervisor Kiefer spoke in support of the County Board resuming in-person meetings and  
called for an in-person meeting in December based on the rationale that the county's  
mask mandate will be expired by then and there will be no public health order in effect.
