Chair Ripp called the Park Commission meeting to order at 5:30 PM.  
Youth Governance Member Present: Emily Cai.

Minutes of the December 8, 2021 Park Commission  
A motion was made by THORESEN, seconded by BOGUE, that the Minutes be  
approved. The motion carried by a voice vote 6-0, YGP 1-0.

APPROVAL OF 2022 CROP LEASES ON COUNTY LAND

A motion was made by THORESEN, seconded by GOFORTH, that the Resolution  
be recommended for approval. The motion carried by a voice vote 6-0, YGP 1-0.

1. Youth programming donations  
Dane County Parks received two donations recently for 2022 youth programs.  
The American Family Dreams Foundation (with the Foundation for Dane County Parks):  
$4,550 for the Junior Naturalist Program.  
Ice Age Trail Alliance: $2,700 for a new Youth Ambassador & Education Partnership to  
expand Girls Inc.  
2. Winter programming overview  
There are a lot of fun programs planned this winter. See attached January and February  
calendar.

3. Cherokee Marsh Wildlife Area barn demo  
Dane County purchased this property in 2015 and the house was removed in 2016. In the  
fall/early winter of 2021, operations staff removed the barn, shed and two silos.

$999,999 category) for Dane County's First Solar Powered Park

funds, or conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or  
bargaining reasons require a closed session.  
N. Adjourn  
A motion was made by BROUWER, seconded by MORAN, that the Park  
Commission Meeting be adjourned. The motion carried by a voice vote 6-0, YPG  
1-0.
