A motion was made by GOFORTH, seconded by MORAN, that the Minutes be  
approved. The motion carried by a voice vote 6-0, YGP 1-0.

1. Land and Water Resource Department 2023 Budget Summary  
Laura Hicklin gave an overview of the Land & Water Resources Department 2023 budget.

2. 2023 Timber Harvest Plans - Anderson Farm County Park & Silverwood County Park  
Lars Higdon described how timber harvests are beneficial to start new oak woodland or  
oak savanna restoration projects and detailed plans for timber harvests to be completed  
at Anderson Farm County Park and Silverwood County park this winter-spring.

3. Lower Yahara River Trail WDNR Land Use Agreement for Lake Kegonsa State Park  
The next phase of the Lower Yahara River Trail will connect Fish Camp County Parks to  
Lake Kegonsa State Park. Dane County Parks will be entering into a land use agreement  
with WDNR, giving Dane County Parks permission to construct, operate and maintain the  
trail through Lake Kegonsa State Park. The WNDR will contribute $49,900 to Dane  
County for trail construction costs.

4. Babcock County Park US HWY 51 Mitigation Measures  
Dane County Parks is working with the DOT on planning for the HWY 51 expansion  
through McFarland. Chris James provided a recap of the mitigation measures planned for  
Babcock County Park. The planning process will tentatively wrap up in 2026 with  
construction slated for 2028.
