A. Call To Order  
Chair ERICKSON called the meeting to order at 6:32 pm.

B. Consideration of Minutes  
A motion was made by LEVIN, seconded by WEST, that the minutes from April  
26th be approved. The motion carried by a voice vote 4-0.

1. Discussion on Stromwater TAC presentation and fee-in-lieu program.  
Committee discussed moving forward with developing a fee-in-lieu program. First step  
would be to hire a consultant to create a RFP for another consultant to go through the  
process of determining feasibility and composition of a program. The committee  
acknowledged that this effort would require staff resources.  
2. Discussion on 2023 budget recommendations  
2023 budget recommendations were discussed. Funding for the fee-in-lieu program,  
maintaining existing programs and staff, and improved beach monitoring should be  
priorities.  
F. Future Meeting Items and Dates  
1. Tentative future meeting ideas  
a. Dane County State of the Lakes Report  
b. State of Lake Wingra  
c. Reports from recreational users (fishers, Madison Boats, etc.)  
Ideas for future meetings were discussed:  
a. Land and Water Annual Report with topic pertinent to the Commission’s work  
b. State of Lake Wingra Report – Friend of Lake Wingra  
c. Reports for lake users – Madison Boats, fishing organizations  
d. Fish Lake Report  
e. Clean Lakes Alliance – Yahara CLEAN update  
2. Lakes and Watershed Commission meeting on June 1st @ 5:30 pm. Tentatively a  
joint meeting with EANR and LCC.  
a. Lake Management Quarterly Report  
The committee would like the meeting to be held at Babcock County Park with a tour  
following. The tour would look at recently purchased property, stormwater facilities, the  
dam, and the dewatering site.  
3. Lakes & Watershed Commission - Executive Committee meeting on June 7th @ 5:30  
pm.  
The committee would like to meet at Marshall Park (City of Madison)

A motion was made by LEVIN, seconded by UPDIKE, that the meeting be  
adjourned. The motion carried by a voice vote 4-0.
